News from Haiti: The Photofestival "Eyes on Haiti" will show Haiti in a personal way to a large and diverse public. 19 young Haitian photographers will exhibit a diversity of topics: Religion, stories from the streets of Port-au-Prince, the countryside, portraits, nudes, among others.The event will take place in Port-au-Prince from the 11th till the 25th of January with the opening on the 13th in the city hall of Petionville. More than ten exhibitions will be held in different places in the city, including public spaces, the walls of the capital city, restaurants as well as hotels. The photographers exhibiting were formed in a photography workshop of 5 months also called "Eyes on Haiti" organized by the organization Viv Timoun (Alice Smeets, Thomas Freteur & Dorine Van Ophalvens) and an international team of photographers.
